The Food4Life schools award is a chance for schools to celebrate and be recognised for good practice around healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle. It is given to schools that show a whole school approach to the provision and promotion of healthy food.

Tameside Healthy Start Scheme
The Healthy Start scheme provides vouchers to support pregnant women or those with children aged under 4.
Healthy Start families will get money added onto their Healthy Start Digital Payment Card every four weeks to spend on certain food and milk.
If you are eligible for the Healthy Start scheme, you will get:
- £4.25 each week of your pregnancy from 10 weeks
- £8.50 (per child) each week for children from birth to one year old
- £4.25 (per child) each week for children between one and four years old.
