Health and Safety

• Children are not allowed out of school during school hours unless accompanied by an adult.
• All Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1 children must be delivered to and collected from an adult employed by the school.
• Children should not arrive at school before 8.30 a.m.
• All visitors should report to the school office on arrival.
• All children should be signed in and out of school during session times.
• School gates are locked after 9am therefore there is no access through the playground for parents or visitors throughout the day.
• Dogs are not permitted on the school premises at any time.
• The school governing body maintains a 'No Smoking' policy in all public areas of the school premises, including its playground and playing fields which parents are requested to respect at all times.
• The main gates into the school driveway are locked at 8.45am and reopened at 9.15am. Likewise, at the end of the school day, the gates are locked at 3pm and reopened at 3.25pm. 
• Bringing your car into the school grounds at the start or end of the school day is not allowed unless, by special arrangement with the Head Teacher. You are welcome to bring your car in slowly during session times.
• We expect a responsible adult to bring and collect all Key Stage one children. Please ensure that the teacher is informed about any alternative arrangements.
• It is advisable that any visitor to school sticks to paths and stairways.
• If you bring or collect your child by car, please do not park on the yellow zigzag lines on Broadhill Road. You are putting children's lives at risk by doing this.
