Admission to school in September 2018
The school follows the Tameside Admissions Procedures. Children are admitted into full time education in the September of the school year in which they become 5 years old.
Full details regarding applying for a reception place can be found on the Tameside website.
The online application will open on 2nd November 2017 and close on 15th January 2018.
Once the closing date for applications has passed, the online system will close for 2 weeks to enable all on time applications to be processed. The online system will re-open two weeks after the closing date to accept late applications.Late applications will only be dealt with after all of those that have been received on time.
Parents will be advised of school allocation by email on 16th April 2018.
Letters regarding nursery places for September 2018 will be posted out first class in April.
The Nursery takes children when they are 3 years old on a part time basis. It is important to note that admission to the nursery does not give automatic admission to full time school. If you wish to register your child at our nursery, please contact the school office where the registration process will be explained. We have adopted the TMBC policy for nursery admissions Nursery Admissions 2018-2019

Starting for the First Time as a Reception Child
This is a very important event for all the family and we try to make the experience a happy one. Reception children are admitted in the September following their fourth birthday. Children will attend part time for the first two weeks. Staff are available to discuss any issues and are always pleased to see you.
Key stage One and Key Stage 2
8.55 a.m. - 3.15 p.m.
Children who go home for lunch should return to school no earlier than 1.10pm
15 minute break for Key Stage 1 in the morning and afternoon.
15 minute break for Key Stage 2 in the morning.
Below are the actual teaching hours in a normal school day. Teaching time includes Religious Education but excludes daily worship, pupil registration and breaks, including lunch.
Reception and Key Stage One: 21 hours
Key Stage Two: 23.5 hours
This meets the minimum teaching hours recommended in the Department for Education Circular 7190.
